مطلع الشهر المقبل آخر موعد أمام المنشآت الكبيرة والعملاقة للحصول على "شهادة مواءمة" لتطوير بيئة عمل الأشخاص من ذوي الإعاقة

Spokesman of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development Khaled Abalkhail emphasized the importance of mega and large establishments to earn Mowaamah certificates and submit them to the ministry until 1/4/1439 A.H. (Dec. 19)

If the establishment fails to provide the requested certificate, the person with a disability is counted as two workers instead of 4 in the nationalization program (Nitaqat) and one worker after a year, Abalkhail explained.

In the month of Shawwal, MLSD unveiled the ‘Mowaamah certificate’ system which adopts best practices and standards in preparing the work environment to be more inclusive and supportive for PwD.

The system which comes under the Empowerment for Employment for Persons with Disabilities Program aims to support and empower workers in the private sector through spreading awareness of employing PwD and providing best practices in preparing a disability-friendly environment among establishments, as well as generating job opportunities for PwD.

Abalkhail clarified that subscribing with the system is optional for the establishments willing to develop their work environments and get approved certificates after they pay minimum fees.

H.E. Minister of Labor and Social Development Dr. Ali bin Nasser al-Ghafis issued the ministerial decision to make sure persons with disabilities work in a friendly-disability environment by instructing both mega and large establishments to earn Mowaamah certificates from a MLSD-approved entity, the spokesman said as well.

The certificate offers a proof that the tasks and nature of the job occupied by the PwD is compatible with type and degree of his/her disability, as well as providing workplace conditions and assistive services as per the index mentioned in the Labor Law, Abalkhail said further.

The establishment should earn the Mowaamah certificate and submit it to the ministry before the deadline ends on Dec. 19, Abalkhail highlighted.

The spokesman stressed the establishment with Mowaamah certificates will benefit from counting the person with disability as four workers in the Nitaqat program as per its conditions and the ministerial decision no. 3249.

Abalkhail said, according to the conditions that will be issued in the upcoming period, these establishments will be rewarded by the ministry as they will utilize capabilities and skills of the persons with disabilities, pointing out the establishments can earn the Mowaamah certificates though applying online via www.Mowaamah.com.
