It also includes setting up of children hospitality centers and home-based daycare in which they take care of children of female workers amid a safe and healthy environment.

The ministry said the memorandum is in a bid for MLSD and its affiliating entities to achieve one of initiatives set by the National Transformation Program 2020 aiming to raise women’s participating in the workforce.

The signing ceremony was led by Mr. Ahmed Al-Humaidan, vice minister of labor and social development, and Dr. Abdul-Jabbar Yamani, CEO of Takamol. Dr. Saleh Al-Amr, CEO of HRDF, was present as well.

According to the MOC, the ministry is responsible to provide polices and regulations that implement the project, whereas Takamol is tasked to run childcare centers and home-based daycare.

The Takamol holding is also responsible to issue necessary licenses for the centers to operate in the workplace or from home, as well as obtaining information and carrying out a necessary electronic linkage that serves the purpose of the memorandum.

Additionally, Takamol will ensure that licenses issued to set up such centers are compatible with the conditions and standards mentioned under the organizational regulations of children hospitality centers and home daycare.
