The Ministry of Labor and Social Development launched an e-contract service for the domestic labor recruitment through resorting to an approved list of recruitment companies and offices in the Musaned program.

H.E. Minister of Labor and Social Development Dr. Ali bin Nasser al-Ghafis endorsed the electronic model for mediation services aiming to recruit domestic workers and those who go under similar categories through the Musaned portal.

MLSD Spokesman Khaled Abalkhail said ‘the service offers an online platform that is easy to use and display an array of services provided by an array of recruitment offices and companies. It also showcases all procedures and elements of the contractual process starting from preliminary agreements between employers and service providers to hiring process, e-payment and arrival of domestic workers to the Kingdom. It comes within the ministry’s keenness to ensure the rights of all involved parties and offer facilitation to them.’

Abalkhail clarified that the service comes as part of the technical development efforts in order to offer online services for the ministry’s customers, stressing MLSD is keen to frame the relation among the contracting parties, ensure its continuity, facilitate and automate recruitment procedures as well.

It allows customers to hire domestic workers online after they review and choose recruitment agencies that offer suitable prices for them, which enhances competition among recruitment officers and companies to provide best services, the spokesman said further.

The Musaned portal allows its users to review licensed recruitment offices and companies, nationalities and occupations of workers once they register with the portal, and also can follow easy steps to recruit domestic workers, in addition to recognizing rights of domestic workers and employers and their obligations they have to observe during the recruitment duration.

The portal offers customers a number of steps that facilitate hiring of domestic workers through the recruitment offices which includes registering with portal, selecting type of visa, occupation, nationality and age of the worker, defining type of recruitment and sending the application to up to three offices/companies and reviewing proposals from licensed service providers.

The customers can choose domestic workers based on their résumés after they accepted the preferred proposal sent from the service providers and pay via SADAD Payment System.
