MLSD conducts 70,000 inspection visits and detects 7,827 violations with SR138m fine within three months

The Ministry of Labor and Social Development has conducted 70,992 inspection visits for the past three months of the current year (1438 A.H.) targeting private-sector establishments in various regions of the Kingdom to implement the labor market’s regulations and nationalization decisions.

 

Khaled Abalkhail, spokesman at MLSD, said: ‘The inspection campaigns detected 7,827 violations during this period and included implementation of several decisions aiming to enforce the nationalization of malls in al-Qassim region, the third phase of the feminization for women-only shops, and the nationalization of the gold and jewelry sector, in addition to involving labor inspectors in the campaign titled ‘A Nation Without A Violator’ along with other concerned entities.’

 

Abalkhail pointed out the fines that have been detected for the past three months stood at SR138,255 million, ensuring the ministry will not continue to carry out inspection rounds to implement the labor and nationalization decisions.

 

The spokesman urged the ministry’s customers to contact the call center No. (19911) or the ‘Ma3an lil Rasd’ app on smart phones if they want to file a complaint or report labor violations.
