MLSD unveils e-services to issue or renew licenses for recruitment offices/companies

The Ministry of Labor and Social Development (MLSD) has launched a number of new e-services, which comes as part of the first phase of the ‘Digital Transformation’.

 

The move is in a bid to facilitate issuance and renewal of licenses for recruitment offices and companies that provide domestic workers and temporary workers for establishments, in addition to offering renewal and issuance services for local employment offices and companies.

 

The e-services allow customers to submit a request for obtaining visas in order to recruit overseas domestic workers, skilled and unskilled workers, as well as being able to transfer services of workers among establishments via online means.

 

The MLSD highlighted these e-services comes within its continuous efforts to increase the number of service providers, raise competitiveness rate and provide optional prices for recruiting domestic workers.

 

Spokesman of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development Khaled Abalkhail clarified these services allow employers to process their applications via the ministry’s portal (www.mlsd.gov.sa), including issuance or renewal of licenses to open a recruitment company/branch for domestic and general workers, recruitment office for domestic workers, employment office or company.

 

Representatives of these companies and offices can request visas for recruiting domestic and general workers, as well as transferring services of workers among the establishments, added Abalkhail.

 

The customer must visit the page of e-services and log into their accounts, choose one of the services, agree to conditions with attaching necessary documents, as well as being able to review the application and complete missing fields. After completing the application, s/he can send the application in which they will receive confirmation.

 

The spokesman pointed out customers will be served online and receive response within two weeks for requesting visas, not more than 30 days for renewal of licenses and not more than three months for issuance of licenses for the before-mentioned activities.

 

Abalkhail emphasized the ministry’s keenness to raise quality level of services provided to the customers through offering full-fledged digital transformation programs, aiming to facilitate and expedite services for them.

 

He urged customers to call the Contact Center no. (19911) if they have any inquiry and problems.
