Spokesman of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development Khaled Abalkhail said on Monday the ministry stopped its electronic services and suspended work permits for 2,704 establishments due to failure to nationalize sectors as part of the correction campaign that targets the labor market. Previously, the establishments were given the deadline to electronically rectify their actual activity registered with the ministry’s system, which can be found on ‘establishment services’ menu in its website. Abalkhail clarified the ministry is working to correct and regulate the labor market and find an appropriate work environment, stressing the MLSD will continue to suspend services from establishments that fail to provide their actual activity and launch inspection visits to detect violations as well.
