38,818 social security beneficiaries receive lump-sum payment of SR 502m: MLSD

The Ministry of Labor and Social Development (MLSD) released last Thursday lump-sum payments to the social security beneficiaries. Dr. Ibrahim Al-Shafiei, deputy minister for social security at the ministry, said a total of SR 502,868,061 was transferred to the beneficiaries who are registered under the lump-sum support program, clarifying the number of cases who received the payments stood at 38,818 cases which included those from the waitlist who obtained approval. The deputy minister for social security highlighted the ministry deposits the lump-sum payments directly to the bank accounts of beneficiaries He emphasized the lump-sum support program comes as part of the support programs that the social security department provides for eligible cases with the aim of improving the living conditions for low-income individuals who constitute a majority of social security benefits recipients.
