MLSD supports beneficiaries with SR 1.9b social security payment, plus cost of living allowance for month of Dhu'l-Qi'dah

The Ministry of Labor and Social Development (MLSD) deposited on Sunday social security payments to male and female beneficiaries, as well as monetary support that allows them to pay for food and portion of electricity bills for the month of Dhu'l-Qi'dah. The ministry said the deposited payments are jointly sent at once to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts and also includes cost-of-living monthly allowance for only those who don’t receive their pension along with this allowance as per the Royal Order. Dr. Ibrahim Al-Shafiei, deputy minister for social security at MLSD, said a total of SR1,922,499,639 was paid to the beneficiaries, out of which includes SR1,323,890,427 paid as social security payments, SR184,239,552 and SR97,180,500 in support of food and electricity bills, respectively, in addition to SR317,189,500 as cost-of-living allowance. These payments are directly transferred to the bank accounts of beneficiaries in order to improve their livening conditions, Al-Shafiei added.
