Eng. al-Rajhi presents initiatives to support nationalization at meeting with 20 foreign companies

H.E. Minister of Labor and Social Development Eng. Ahmed bin Suleiman al-Rajhi met Sunday with representatives and investors from 20 foreign companies held at the Human Resources Development Fund’s HQ in Riyadh. The meeting was attended by H.E. Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Development Dr. Abdullah Abuthnain, Director-General of the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) Dr. Mohammed al-Sudairy and Deputy Governor for Investors' Services and Consultancy at SAGIA Ibrahim al-Suwail. At the beginning of the meeting, Eng. al-Rajhi emphasized the importance of partnership and engagement between the ministry and the business sector in boosting the private sector’s growth, expanding nationalization, empowering Saudi men and women in the workforce, which allows them to contribute to the Saudi economy. The minister added the ministry and its affiliated entities will offer all support for the private sector based on mutual interest and partnership to develop the national economy, raise the participation rate of Saudi nationals and polish their skills in a way that meets the employer’s needs. Ahmed al-Zahrani, deputy minister for labor policies at MLSD, delivered a presentation on the ministry’s initiatives in order to support the business sector with increasing their nationalization rates, as well as timetables to launch these initiatives. The foreign companies that attended the meeting were DOW Chemicals, 3M, Pfizer, Huawei, Lulu Hyper Market, BAE Systems, Bahri Bollore, Procter & Gamble, Baker Hughes, Unilever, Rolls Royce, GSK, Legrand, Medtronic, Samsung, Hyundai, Haliburton, Hitachi, Raytheon and IBM.
